Use of Emissionlabs Transformer PCB's

These many, excellent amplifier designs, were made by Mr. Leven, before the Emissionlabs transformer PCBs were introduced. So in the schematics or descriptions you won't find any reference to those, and instead the classical Lundahl Designations, like ALT-B, ALT-C etc. However this system with "ALT" is confusing and difficult. The emissionlabs PCBs, are essentially doing the same, but they do not refer to any "ALT" wiring schemes, but give you directly the output impedance, at a known input inpedance.

This is the primary board. Only the connection holes of the selected transformer type are used. For instance for Single Ended LL9202, appy the solder bridge on the right side under 'select' and then the only two wires to the board are A+ and V+. For PP, also Ultra Linear Taps are provided.

This is the secondary Board, it can select two impedances, 4- 8 Ohms, or 8-16 Ohms. Mostly 4-8 is EE16 and 8-16 is EE18, but not always (See table below here). The impedance can be made fixed, with three wire bridges. Or, a switch can be mounted on the board. Or, the switch option can be connected externally, with the small board pictured below here.

This is the Switch Board EE17 and EE19, which can be added to transformer boards as an option. So the impedance switch becomes external. To mount it, needs only a 6mm hole.
